What does a workshop cost?

Individual workshops at Spread & Spine start at ₹1,800 per person for a two-hour Japanese Stab session and go up to ₹4,500 for a full-day Secret Belgian intensive. Materials, chai, and a finished book to take home are included.

Do I need any prior experience?

No. Every public workshop is designed for absolute beginners. We teach folding, stitching, and finishing from scratch. If you are an experienced maker, ask about our intermediate Coptic and long-stitch classes.

What do I need to bring?

Just yourself. We provide paper, thread, needles, awls, bone folders, and covers. Wear clothes you do not mind getting a little glue on, and bring a notebook if you like to sketch ideas between stitches.

Where are workshops held?

Our home studio is in Bengaluru. We also run monthly sessions in Mumbai, Delhi, and Goa at partner cafes and maker spaces. City and venue are listed on each session card.

Can I book a private workshop?

Yes. Private workshops for friend groups, bridal showers, and corporate teams can be booked at our studio, your office, or an offsite venue anywhere in India. See our Private Groups and Corporate pages for details.

Do you cater to kids?

We run dedicated kids workshops for ages 6 to 12 using blunt needles and pre-pierced paper. Groups are capped at eight children with one facilitator, and we offer birthday-party packages on request.
