Three steps, one pair of hands.

Cut & fold
Recycled sheets are scored with a bone folder and folded into 16-page signatures on the studio cradle.

Stitch
Signatures are sewn together with waxed linen thread using Coptic, Secret Belgian, or Japanese Stab stitches.
03
Finish
Covers go on, edges are burnished with beeswax, and every book is signed and numbered before it ships.

- What does Spread & Spine sell?
- Hand-bound journals and sketchbooks, DIY bookbinding kits, loose supplies like recycled paper and waxed linen thread, origami lamps, and in-person workshops.
- How long does shipping take in India?
- Domestic orders dispatch within 3 working days and arrive in 3–5 business days through Delhivery or India Post. We cover shipping on orders above ₹1,500.
- Do you run workshops I can book?
- Yes. We run individual, corporate team-building, kids, and private workshops in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Pune. Find dates on the workshops page.
- Can I order a custom book or bulk gifts?
- We take on weddings, corporate gifting, and editioned runs. Send your brief via the contact page and we will quote within 48 hours.
- How sustainable are your materials?
- 92% of our paper is post-consumer recycled or khadi cotton-rag. Cloth covers are upcycled from tailoring off-cuts. Packaging is 100% plastic-free kraft.
- Do you ship internationally?
- Yes, via India Post Air to most countries. Delivery usually lands in 10–14 business days. Duties and customs are the buyer's responsibility.
